Horror maestro Stephen King personally announced the premiere date of the series "The Institute" (The Institute), based on his novel of the same name.

Like the novel, the plot of The Institute will be about a boy, Luke, who is kidnapped by a mysterious organisation to conduct pseudoscientific experiments on him and other children.
It is known that the role of Luke will be played by a young actor Joe Freeman, and his character will be purposefully a little older than in the book to avoid showing cruelty to children.
Stephen King is involved in the series as an executive producer, which allowed him to make sure that the story is in line with the source material.
The director of the series "Institute" is Jack Bender, who is known for his work on the cult series Lost and "Mr Mercedes", also based on King's novel.
Viewers will be offered eight episodes of "The Institute," which will be available on MGM+.
